Adeolu is an associate specialising in intellectual property (IP) law and reputation management.
Adeolu supports clients on contentious and non-contentious IP matters in relation to trade mark and copyright and other brand, content and advertising issues. Her experience includes supporting on trade mark infringement and passing off claims, domain name complaints, consumer rights issues, advertising regulation and IP-related commercial matters such as talent and assignment agreements. She gained practical understanding of key client IP, commercial and consumer issues during a six-month secondment to a global luxury fashion e-commerce company.
Adeolu also has a focus on reputation management matters, representing clients on both pre-publication and post-publication defamation, privacy, confidentiality, harassment and contentious data protection issues. This includes supporting clients with pre-publication content clearance to prevent or mitigate the release of defamatory, false, misleading, or private information, and also writing to publishers and broadcasters in relation to pre-publication requests for comments to mitigate the publication of false allegations and private and/or confidential information. She also has experience in relation to post-publication issues including supporting clients with the removal of defamatory content and private/confidential information from published media.
Additionally, Adeolu advises clients in relation to commercial agreements and transactions, including supporting on contractual and IP due diligence in corporate transactions as well as reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. She also has experiencing supporting clients in co-ordinating multijurisdictional advice tailored to the clients' business needs.
