Mike specialises in advising multi-national corporations in complying with global data protection and privacy laws. He regularly advises on data protection issues relating to transactions, data incidents, tech procurement projects including complex issues relating to Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
Mike has experience in the full suite of data protection issues including cross-border data transfers, regulatory engagement, and international compliance programmes. Mike has additionally advised clients regarding new data protection and cyber resilience legislation including the Data Act, Digital Markets Act and Artificial Intelligence Act.
He has particular experience in supporting clients across the technology, travel, biotechnology and telecoms sectors. Mike also has significant experience advising on the data protection aspects of corporate transactions, supporting in the acquisition of AI, insurance, healthcare and entertainment sectors.
Mike has completed a secondment in house at one of the largest travel and leisure ecommerce platforms in the world where he supported in direct marketing compliance processes, complaints relating to data subject rights and the negotiation of various technology, payment and security contracts.
