Bart Hunnekens

Bart is Co-Head of our Employment, Pensions and Mobility team in the Netherlands. He has over a decade of experience supporting Dutch and overseas companies with employment issues including litigation. Clients appreciate his energetic attitude and commitment. Bart regularly works with North American and European businesses and entrepreneurs as they set up in the Netherlands. He is a member of the American Bar Association.

Bart's clients go to him for advice on contentious and non-contentious employment issues relating to restructurings and redundancies, insourcing and outsourcing, transfer of undertakings, and employee benefit issues arising out of transactions. He regularly supports overseas companies as they enter the Dutch market, including on immigration work. Bart will ensure you start with a strong foundation to launch your business and grow in the Netherlands.

REWE Group zur Bereitstellung von grenzüberschreitender regulatorischer Beratung im Zusammenhang mit der Übernahme von Lekkerland, einem multinationalen Großhandels- und Vertriebsunternehmen. Das Team beriet in allen regulatorischen Fragen einschließlich Genehmigungen, EHS, Gefahrgut und produktbezogenen Anforderungen wie der Tabakrichtlinie. Apotex's EUR74m sale of subsidiaries to Aurobindo

Apotex on the sale of six European subsidiaries in Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Spain, to Aurobindo for EUR74 million. This highly complex transaction involved the share transfer of subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions being co-ordinated and managed by our UK team. We simultaneously advised on a multitude of business separation, ongoing product supply agreements and IP licences for the European business to continue operating after being removed from the Apotex group.
