Bart is Co-Head of our Employment, Pensions and Mobility team in the Netherlands. He has over a decade of experience supporting Dutch and overseas companies with employment issues including litigation. Clients appreciate his energetic attitude and commitment. Bart regularly works with North American and European businesses and entrepreneurs as they set up in the Netherlands. He is a member of the American Bar Association.
Bart's clients go to him for advice on contentious and non-contentious employment issues relating to restructurings and redundancies, insourcing and outsourcing, transfer of undertakings, and employee benefit issues arising out of transactions. He regularly supports overseas companies as they enter the Dutch market, including on immigration work. REWE Group on provision of cross border regulatory advice relating to the acquisition of Lekkerland, a multinational wholesale and distributor business. The team advised on all regulatory issues including permits, EHS, dangerous goods and product related requirements such as the Tobacco Directive. The team also provided an in depth analysis of all affected jurisdictions (Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland).
