Justyna specialises in intellectual property and regulatory matters. She regularly advises innovative clients in the life sciences industry on patent litigation before the English Courts and at the Unified Patent Court (UPC). She also has considerable regulatory experience in the field of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Thanks to her in-house experience, Justyna provides practical and easily actionable advice. She has great insight into the life sciences industry, developed through her personal experience of scientific research at the Heidelberg University, Germany, and in-house secondments at Roche and Elvie. She also has a BSc in Pharmacology.
Justyna has considerable experience in helping life sciences companies navigate regulatory uncertainty associated with new legislative developments. She assisted clients in their preparations for Brexit and the EU MDR (Medical Devices Regulation) – and she is now deploying this experience in connection with the UPC.
A committed advocate of legal tech, Justyna developed the Taylor Wessing's MDR Medical Device Checker online tool and is working on other projects utilising technology to deliver excellent service to our clients.
