Ed is a partner in the banking & finance team.

Ed specialises in real estate finance in the UK and Europe. His practice includes advising on highly structured, cross-border corporate real estate transactions and has significant experience in investment and development financings for all asset classes, including operational assets, logistics and build to rent.

He acts for borrowers and all types of lenders and has extensive expertise acting for the alternative lender set including, debt funds, overseas banks and insurer lenders.

We have advised Canada Life Asset Management on a GBP148 million loan to LXi REIT plc. With this loan LXi REIT will refinance a mixed-use, UK regional portfolio of commercial property assets, typically let on inflation-linked, long-term leases, providing a diversified, secure income profile, on behalf of Canada Life’s annuity business.

BentallGreenOak on the acquisition of prime logistics portfolio

We have advised BentallGreenOak on the acquisition of a seven-asset strong logistics portfolio from Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing. The platform includes seven logistics assets, totalling 2.18m sq ft. Over 80% of the portfolio is let to tenants such as Sainsburys, British Gas, DSV and Clipper on core logistics parks including Magna Park, Lutterworth, D.I.R.F.T, Hams Hall and Warth Park.
