With the help of a number of case studies, we will discuss how firms should approach the following aspects of the SMCR, which must be undertaken by solo-regulated firms by 31 March 2021:
- Assessing the fitness and propriety of Certified Persons
- Carrying out Conduct Rules training for staff
- Submitting information about Directory Persons to the Register
We will also consider issues arising out of the lockdown, such as how these processes are best managed remotely.
The webinar will be led by Helen Farr, Charlotte Hill, Daniel Hirschfield, Colin Godfrey and Lauren Clarke, who are members of the Taylor Wessing SMCR team, which brings together regulatory and employment lawyers and advises on the interaction between regulatory and employment law issues.
