Andrew Hine

Andrew is widely regarded as one of the top private client lawyers in the UK. He has specialised in capital tax planning and trust structuring for over 30 years. Clients describe him as a truly international advisor with excellent technical skills and an eminent status in the profession.

Andrew's practice involves all elements of private client work. He has particular experience in advising trustees, and acting as a trustee, for trusts of considerable value, and also advises clients in the areas of probate, succession and wills - especially those involving multi-jurisdictional assets and heritage tax issues. Andrew works with both resident and domiciled clients in the UK and overseas. He advises trustees in a wide variety of financial centres, including Jersey, Guernsey, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Liechtenstein.

Andrew has been described as one of the best lawyers in the world to advise on contentious trusts and estates, whether national or international. He has significant experience in acting for trustees (or classes of beneficiary) in multi-party trust applications to Court involving variations, agreed compromises or blessings of the exercise of trustee powers, and has acted as guardian ad litem or litigation friend in a number of such applications involving very substantial trust fortunes.
