Gemma Grunewald is a partner in the Tax & Incentives practice group. Gemma has particular expertise in the Real Estate Sector, where she advises on real estate tax issues and structuring.
She advises a broad spectrum of clients – including listed and private companies, private equity funds and institutional investors – on complex UK tax matters, frequently advising on tax-efficient vehicles for overseas investment into UK real estate such as REITs, funds and joint ventures.
Her practice spans the full lifecycle of real estate investment and development, from initial structuring through to ongoing tax considerations and exit planning. Her practice includes both advisory and transactional work including M&A, lending transactions, and direct asset purchases across a full range of asset classes, including living capital, office and logistics.
Clients value her ability to navigate technical detail while providing commercially grounded, pragmatic advice.
