Dr. Marco Hartmann-Rüppel, Dipl.-Volkswirt

Marco is head of the Competition, EU & Trade Practice Group at Taylor Wessing. He has well over 20 years of experience in providing advice and solutions on all areas of German and European competition law. His practice ranges from advice on investigations by the antitrust authorities - antitrust fine and abuse proceedings, sector investigations – and on complex merger control proceedings through to competition law advice on cooperations, for example in sales, purchasing or R&D projects.

One of his main areas of practice is representing clients in antitrust civil litigation, including antitrust damages proceedings. At the same time, Marco’s additional qualification in economics brings a deep-rooted understanding of the interaction between competition rules, technical and regulatory regulations governing the functioning of markets and the commercial needs of clients. He is not only actively involved in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, but also advises clients from the technology and automotive/mobility sectors.
