Recommended Lawyer for IT-Transactions and Outsourcing

Scroll to featured award

Nicolai Wiegand advises clients on all legal matters relating to information technology, data economy, and artificial intelligence.

His focus is on the legally compliant structuring of digital business models and the support of complex technology projects – from digital transformation initiatives and data licensing agreements to AI applications, taking into account the current regulatory landscape (in particular the AI Act and Data Act).

He supports clients in negotiating software and technology licensing agreements, outsourcing projects, and the practical implementation of group-wide GDPR compliance. In addition, he advises on technology and IP transactions and represents companies in and out of court in IT disputes or proceedings with data protection authorities.

As an external data protection officer, Nicolai Wiegand understands his clients’ operational challenges first-hand and provides pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.

Nicolai Wiegand regularly publishes expert articles and is a co-author of several professional publications, as well as a long-standing lecturer at the Beck Academy, a leading German provider of legal training. He is a member of the German Association for Law and Informatics (DGRI) and of the Data Protection Working Group of BITKOM, Germany’s digital industry association.
