Nicolai specialises in the fields of IT/e-commerce and data protection. His advice covers all aspects of IT and data protection, including the design of software/technology licensing agreements, advice on outsourcing projects, the implementation of group-wide GDPR implementation projects, international data transfers, conceptual design and implementation of digitisation projects including data protection aspects, comprehensive support in technology and IP transactions as well as representation in and out of court regarding unsuccessful IT projects and representation in relation to the data protection authorities. Furthermore, he advises on all problems arising from e-commerce.
His clients include in particular national and international IT companies, but also companies from other industries, which he advises on the above-mentioned matters. Nicolai regularly publishes specialist articles, is co-author of various publications and is a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Recht und Informatik (DGRI, German Association of Law and Informatics) and of BITKOM’s data protection working group.
