We have expanded our Construction and Engineering team with the appointment of Jonathan Hutt who joins the firm today as a partner.
Jonathan is an experienced disputes lawyer who advises employers, contractors, major sub-contractors and energy companies on complex disputes involving significant projects both in the UK and internationally.
Jonathan specialises in dispute avoidance and formal Dispute resolution, including numerous adjudications, multiparty TCC claims and international arbitration proceedings. He has experience of the major forms of contract within the construction and engineering, projects, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Partner and Head of the firm's Construction and Engineering team, Matthew Jones said: “We're delighted that Jonathan is joining us. Jonathan's stand-out qualities include his intellect, affability and ambition for his clients. As capital is increasingly invested globally in real estate development, infrastructure, energy and projects, his specialist construction legal knowledge in dispute avoidance and complex Dispute resolution will complement and enhance our service to our clients, in the UK and internationally.
Jonathan Hutt said: “Taylor Wessing's reputation within the built environment and the firm’s international network was a huge draw. I'm really pleased to be joining the team. They have a strong reputation in all of the sectors they focus on, particularly in construction and engineering, development, projects, infrastructure and energy where their impressive client base spans the globe. I'm really looking forward to using my experience and the opportunity to build the practice further.”
Jonathan's appointment is the second partner hire in the UK in the last month, following the hire of Kunal Vyas who joined the firm's Private wealth team as a partner in September.
