Taylor Wessing advised Demeter, which led, alongside Suntory Global Spiritz, Techmind, AZ Venture Capital Inc., business angels, and existing investors, the €5 million fundraising for ALTR to finance the development of its “Flavor-First” dealcoholization technology.
A major European player in venture capital, growth capital and infrastructure investment in the energy and environmental transition, Demeter supports companies in the sector at all stages of their development (innovative start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, infrastructure projects). With a team of 38 people based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Madrid, Düsseldorf and Montreal, Demeter has made 230 investments in nearly 20 years.
Demeter has invested in ALTR through its VitiRev Innovation fund (SFDR Article 9), a €70 million fund dedicated to the environmental transition of the wine industry.
Its main subscribers are the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region (with the VitiREV program), the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the French government as part of France 2030 – Territoires d'Innovation, as well as numerous producers, banks, and insurers.
