Taylor Wessing France advised the founders and shareholders of Greenbids, an adtech company focused on reducing the carbon footprint of advertising campaigns through artificial intelligence, on its acquisition by Perion, a Nasdaq-listed provider of online marketing solutions for advertisers and their agencies.
Greenbids generates customized algorithms that enable each brand to ensure more effective media investments, better control, and greater transparency in the use of its budget. Greenbids already has more than 80 brands using its platform, including Spotify, Ford, and Accor.
The acquisition of Greenbids will enable Perion to enhance the functionality of its Perion One platform and address closed channels such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as leading DSPs such as Google DV360 and The Trade Desk, complementing its current offering, which includes connected TV (CTV), digital out-of-home (DOOH), and the open web.
Perion plans to roll out this technology in more than 30 countries, leveraging its presence in the United States and its strong relationships with agencies and advertisers.
