We have advised the management team of United Living Group, a leading provider of essential infrastructure, social housing maintenance and construction services on its sale to Apollo, which is acquiring the asset through its impact investment fund.
United Living provides a range of mission critical maintenance and construction services across three pillars: infrastructure, new homes and property services. By reviving homes and communities through regenerated living spaces, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of utility assets and partnering with the largest social housing and build-to-rent communities, United Living’s diversified offerings serve to increase access to affordable housing and critical services for often underserved populations.
The Apollo Impact platform pursues private equity-like opportunities with the intention of creating positive, measurable social and/or environmental impact while generating attractive risk-adjusted returns. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed over the summer.
Commenting on the transaction, Head of Corporate M&A Emma Danks said, "This is an exciting partnership that enables United Living to drive improved access to high quality affordable housing and critical infrastructure in the UK. We very much enjoyed working with the United Living team and delivering another great transaction from our PE management advisory practice. We look forward to United Living continuing their positive impact and their next chapter of growth."
Chairman and CEO of United Living, Neil Armstrong commented, "This partnership allows us to invest in our vision to help reduce inequalities and create more sustainable cities and communities. Thanks to the Taylor Wessing team who supported us closely throughout. It felt as though they are part of our team and meant they anticipated and provided solutions to problems, which made the entire process as smooth as it could be."
The team comprised of Partner Emma Danks and Associates Catie Raymond and Scarlett Diamond.
