We have advised longstanding client Verdane on its investment in Bluewater Bio, a UK-based technology company focused on sustainable solutions for water reuse.
Verdane has partnered with Scott Capital Partners, an independent multi-family office, and made a significant majority investment in Bluewater Bio through Aquavest, a global water technology platform. Bluewater Bio offers proprietary technology solutions that enable more efficient and sustainable water reuse operations.
With this transaction, Verdane, Scott Capital Partners and Aquavest join forces with Bluewater Bio's management team to propel the company forward. The partnership will broaden global access to Bluewater Bio's technology and offering, accelerate growth across existing and international markets, and leverage the company's strong commercial capabilities while preserving its long-term commitment to sustainability.
Verdane is a specialist growth buyout investment firm that partners with tech-enabled and sustainable businesses that help to digitalise and decarbonise the European economy. We have previously advised the firm on various transactions including its investment in UrbanVolt and on the acquisition of a portfolio of three companies from Langholm Capital.
Erik Osmundsen, Partner at Verdane, said: "The success of this transaction reflects the strength of our partnership with Taylor Wessing. The firm's dedicated team provided the expertise and comprehensive support we needed to achieve our goals, continuing the high standard of service that has defined our ongoing relationship."
Private equity partner and Head of M&A, Emma Danks commented: “We are delighted to have supported Verdane on its investment in Bluewater Bio, a leader in sustainable water technology. Supporting transactions that combine technological innovation with strong commercial fundamentals is central to our PE practice" and private equity partner, Jonny Bethell added: "We look forward to continue working with Verdane on their strategic initiatives, and the further growth of the Aquavest platform."
