Thomas Adocker has joined the firm as a partner in our patents group from Austrian law firm Schwarz Schönherr. Thomas will be based in the firm's office in Vienna.
Thomas specialises in life sciences and regulatory issues with extensive experience of multinational disputes. With more than twenty years' experience in intellectual property, Thomas is known for his expertise in patent law and has a particular focus on patent litigation, licensing and technology transfer, having represented clients in major Austrian patent infringement cases, especially those related to pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Thomas's reputation significantly enhances the firm's patents and regulatory offering in CEE, especially with the new Unified Patent Court (UPC) opening on 1 June 2023. He has contributed to and co-authored various journals and textbooks, and organised a series of webinars regarding the UPC which includes appointed UPC judges from Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium as panellists.
