We are partnering with renowned children’s author and illustrator, Rob Biddulph, to host the world’s largest ever art lesson on Thursday 21 May 2020.
During lockdown, Rob Biddulph’s #DrawWithRob online lessons have been hugely popular with over one million people having now taken part.
The lesson will take place at 16:00 in an attempt to clinch the Guinness World Records title. Alongside our alliance firm WSGR who is supporting this initiative, we have made a donation which will go towards charities who've been impacted highly by COVID-19.
This initiative needs at least 10,000 unique users to join and actively participate in the lesson for no less than thirty minutes. All evidence will be submitted to the Guinness World Records post-event for review and approval. The lesson is free and anyone is welcome to take part.
To join, and be part of making history from home, register here.
Partner and Head of our UK Financial Services Regulatory group, Charlotte Hill, who heads up our dedicated Art network comments:
"The arts continue to provide us all with a creative outlet during what is an uncertain and challenging time. We saw this demonstrated most recently when we announced our involvement in Hold Still: a portrait of our nation in 2020.
Art plays a central role in helping us to broaden horizons by encouraging analytical thinking and appreciating different perspectives. Now more than ever before it's bringing us together and enabling us to document this unprecedented moment in time. These sessions offer some light relief to families all over the country who are looking after their children from home, plus it's educational. I encourage everyone to give it a go."
