We have advised Monzo Bank on its latest Series G+ fundraising.
The latest £75 million funding deal includes investments from AME Cloud Ventures, the venture fund of Jerry Yang (Yahoo co-founder), and Nikesh Arora (a former SoftBank president). Octahedron and Vetamer Capital, both based in San Francisco, also participated.
Following a £60 million fundraising in November and £65 million last June, Monzo's nine-month total has exceeded £200 million.
We have advised Monzo on several different funding rounds, including its funding rounds in June and November 2020.
Commenting on the deal, partner and head of our Corporate Technology group, Angus Miln said: "Monzo is the original trail-blazer for mobile-first banking. We have a track record of working with the most innovative organisations and bringing our expertise within the technology sector to bear for Monzo is a pleasure."
The team was led by corporate partner Angus Miln, with support from associates Nell Cooper and Harry Ruffell.
