Taylor Wessing attracts new corporate technology and private equity partner

International law firm Taylor Wessing announces the appointment of Ian Moore as a partner in its corporate technology and private equity teams.

Ian joins the firm from Eversheds Sutherland and has significant experience within the technology sector and private equity market.

He is especially recognised for his domestic and cross-border M&A work and his practice reflects a mix of corporate advisory work, acquisitions, disposals and equity and convertible debt financings for corporate and technology clients.

He is also the founder and former managing director of an investor funded, growth stage business in the technology/consumer sector.

Executive Board member and Partner, James Goold, said: "Ian's hire underscores our deep commitment to servicing the corporate needs of our clients in the technology sector at all stages of their evolution. His focus on M&A in this space, as well as his experience of advising private equity investors and management teams, adds even greater breadth and depth to our market-leading corporate technology team at a time when it continues to go from strength to strength. We're very excited to welcome Ian to the firm."

Welcoming Ian to the firm, Managing Partner, Shane Gleghorn, said: “Ian has a strong track-record of transactions in the technology sector, acting for a variety of investors, businesses, private equity funds and founders. He brings with him an enviable reputation with clients in that sector and this is an important hire for our market leading corporate technology group. Ian also brings a wealth of experience acting for private equity clients who are investing in the sector. That sector focus is coupled with a great deal of experience, which encompasses cross-border corporate transactions, private M&A, private equity and fund work, joint ventures and commercial agreements. We are experiencing an increase in deal flow in the technology sector so this hire could not be timelier."

Ian Moore added: "It's very exciting to be joining the Taylor Wessing team - who are preeminent in advising technology clients and on technology related matters. In sharing this sector focus and with hands-on experience of running my own early stage tech/consumer business, providing such a valuable insight into the real world issues impacting investors and owner-managed businesses, I look forward to bringing this to bear at Taylor Wessing and working with the team to help support clients and further develop the practice."

Ian's hire follows news of Alison Dennis joining the firm as the International Co-Head of our Life Sciences and Healthcare team and Adrian Toutoungi, who has joined the firm's Cambridge office as a patents partner. Most recently, the firm also confirmed the appointment of Ross McNaughton as a corporate technology partner, Matthew Swainston to its real estate team from Forsters, Murray North in the Private Client team from BCLP and Helen Farr in its employment team from Fox Williams.
