As the impact of COVID-19 is felt throughout the economy, we look at how to deal with or mitigate the risk of insolvency events. We consider a variety of issues including IP agreements and insolvency, investing in IP rich companies, litigating against companies in distress, and taking security over IP. We also look at the recent changes to insolvency law which will impact the ability of suppliers to terminate contracts for the supply of goods and services (including bare IP licences) on the grounds of insolvency.
