DMCC Bill webinar: part one

    • - GMT

Join us for this webinar as we provide an update on the recently published Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Bill, which brings in significant obligations to providers of consumer subscription services and materially increases the enforcement powers of the CMA generally.

We will ask whether this means a more aggressive approach to UK consumer enforcement and will outline the new rules on subscription services. Speakers will discuss the new requirements, which go further than the EU equivalents and will mean changes to user sign-up flows, consumer terms and cancellation rights.

Specifically, we will cover:

  • The CMA's enhanced consumer enforcement powers
  • Clamping down on fake reviews
  • Information provision
  • Reminder notices
  • New rights for consumers to bring contracts to an end
  • Changes to cooling-off periods.
