Megan is an Associate advising clients across a wide range of brands, content, advertising and media issues, as well as commercial agreements and transactions. Megan has experience across all sectors, with a focus on the technology, media and communications sector.
Megan advises clients on brands, content and advertising, which involves the protection, exploitation and enforcement of soft IP rights and in particular trade marks, copyrights and domain names and advises on consumer rights laws and advertising regulations. This includes a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including soft IP disputes and infringements and content infringements. This also includes advising on IP-related commercial agreements and transactions, including marketing, talent/influencer, sponsorship and partnership agreements, licensing and assignment agreements.
Megan coordinates multijurisdictional projects to deliver coherent advice tailored to her clients' businesses and advises clients on a wider range of commercial and technology contracts and transactions. This includes contractual, technology and IP due diligence in corporate transactions as well as drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
Additionally, Megan has experience advising on protecting the reputation of individuals and companies by dealing with matters of confidentiality and defamation including pre-publication content clearance to prevent or mitigate the release of defamatory, false, misleading, or private information.
