Megan is an Associate advising a wide variety of clients with a particular focus on the creative, media, consumer and tech sectors, major advertisers and brands, and high net worth individuals. She regularly advises digital, retail, consumer, fashion and luxury clients, including private individuals.
Megan advises clients on brands, content, advertising and regulation, which involves the protection, exploitation and enforcement of soft intellectual property rights, and in particular trade marks, passing off, designs, copyright, moral rights and performers' rights, consumer rights laws, advertising regulations, digital regulation, online safety and environmental matters.
Megan advises both claimants and defendants across a range of content, information, media and reputation management issues. She advises on protecting the reputation of individuals and companies by dealing with matters of defamation, privacy, confidentiality and harassment, including pre-publication content clearance to prevent or mitigate false allegations, unlawful third-party disclosure of private and confidential information, and regulatory data and media complaints and investigations.
She also coordinates multi-jurisdictional projects to deliver coherent advice tailored to her clients' businesses and advises on a wide range of consumer, commercial and technology contracts and transactions. This includes contractual, technology and IP due diligence in corporate transactions as well as drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
