Louise is a senior counsel – knowledge in the IP & Media group. She has over 20 years' experience advising clients on complex IP issues, specialising in brand protection and enforcement, format rights issues, anti-counterfeiting and drafting and negotiating complex IP-related agreements. She has particular expertise in the entertainment, consumer goods, life sciences and finance sectors. Louise has extensive experience of litigation and alternative dispute resolution and has represented clients before the UK IP office on numerous matters.
Louise now provides technical legal support to the team, advising on complex IP issues and practice points. She also trains the team and clients, ensuring both are kept abreast of legal developments. She previously lectured on the CITMA course (having passed the CITMA exams) and more widely.
Louise edits and writes for our key brands publications, Brands Update and Advertising quarterly and contributes to other publications such as Interface. She is an expert on the impact of Brexit for brands. She also has a special interest in the life sciences sector, recently contributing several chapters to the highly-acclaimed book, A User's Guide to Intellectual Property in Life Sciences.
