The UK’s new immigration system after Brexit: is your business ready?

    • - GMT

From 1 January 2021, freedom of movement between the UK and the EU will end. The UK will introduce a new points based immigration system that will treat all applicants equally, regardless of where they come from. For the first-time EU workers (except for Irish citizens) moving to the UK to work after the end of this year will have to apply for a work visa – supported by a sponsoring employer – before travel.

Is your business ready for the new system? Although current Tier 2 sponsor licence holders can continue to use their licence, there are changes for them to plan for too. And many businesses that are not yet sponsors may need to apply for a licence to be able to recruit talent.

In this webinar we will explore:

  • the roll out of the new points based system (PBS) from 1 January 2021
  • the changes to the existing Tier 2 ICT and Tier 2 General visa routes
  • preparing for the new PBS – including if you don't have a licence already
  • the impact on employer right to work checks
  • the status of your existing EU workforce in the UK, and
  • planned future changes and new visa routes.
