Thanos is a Tech partner with a focus on Data Protection, Privacy and Media law. Thanos has an excellent track record on AdTech, e-privacy and digital content distribution, including questions on copyright, advertising, as well as youth protection law. He is the Co-head of the international practice group Technology, Content and Data.
Thanos joined Taylor Wessing in 2011. As a result of his prior experience but also various secondments with TW clients in different industries, Thanos has in-depth knowledge of the needs of in-house legal departments of multinational companies. He advises organisations across various sectors including e-commerce, technology, media, advertising, life sciences and healthcare, and retail. Thanos helps businesses deal with complex legal matters, when launching new products/ services in the EU. He is working with data rich organisations and businesses. Thanos guides clients successfully through complex digital transformation projects, including on implementing and using A.I.-based services and products.
Thanos is lecturer since 2015 at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik (University of Applied Sciences) Berlin. He publishes and speaks regularly on technology topics, such as copyright and data in relation to A.I. Thanos is a specialist lawyer for information technology law, as well as a certified Data Protection Officer (TÜV).
