Taylor Wessing advised Sunday Natural Products GmbH (Sunday Natural) and its founder Dr Jörg Schweikart on the sale of a stake in Sunday Natural to private equity investor CVC Capital Partners VIII (CVC Fund VIII).
Dr Jörg Schweikart will retain a significant stake in Sunday Natural through his holding company and will continue to play a central role in driving forward the strategic expansion of the company. The purchase price and details of the contractual terms are confidential.
Completion of the overall transaction is still subject to the approval by the relevant regulatory authorities.
Sunday Natural, founded in 2013, has developed into the fastest growing brand for the digital direct sales of high-quality vitamins, minerals and food supplements in the DACH region with its own research and development team and a range of more than 1,000 different premium products that is unique in the market based on its True Clean Label philosophy, which ensures quality, purity and transparency at every stage of the value chain.The Berlin-based company serves over one million customers annually via its D2C platform Sunday.de.
The partnership between Sunday Natural and CVC Fund VIII aims to increase the company's international reach and scale its product portfolio.
