Dr Paul England, DPhil Oxon

Paul is a senior professional support lawyer, specialising in advisory work on contentious European patent matters.

Paul has a particular interest in the life sciences sector, having begun his career as a scientist and taken a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Oxford. He publishes and speaks on patent law widely and is an author of A User's Guide to Intellectual Property in the Life Sciences. Paul also specialises in European patent litigation strategy advice, particularly in the Unified Patent Court (UPC), on which Paul has two forthcoming books: A Practitioner's Guide to the UPC and Unitary Patent and a Practitioner's Guide to European Patent Law for National Practice and the UPC (both with Bloomsbury).
