Mark has over a decade of experience advising clients on corporate real estate and commercial property matters. He is recognised, among other things, for his client focus and high degree of commercial acumen that allows him to make judgement calls beyond the normal breadth of the legal profession.
Mark guides clients through all aspects of commercial and corporate issues including, investment sales and purchases and leases, structured acquisitions and disposals, real estate joint ventures, and corporate real estate transactions.
Mark also has a particular expertise in the hotels and leisure and logistics sector, where he advises on hotel portfolio sales and purchases, hotel leases and management agreements, and sale and leaseback and sale and management-back transactions.

We have advised Invesco Real Estate (Invesco), the global real estate investment manager, on its new strategic long-term partnership with Westmont, one of the largest private hotel property owners and operators with approximately 400 hotels in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia. Westmont will operate and co-invest in the portfolio of 13 IHG branded hotels located in key cities in Germany and the Netherlands.

We have advised Accor on their investment into the innovative AGO Hotels platform, including branding arrangements. AGO has secured an initial nine hotels from the Travelodge CVA which will be branded as Ibis budget hotels with the platform open for further hotels to join into 2021. As well as participating in this innovative vehicle alongside AGO management and the landlords, Accor has also committed seed funding to assist with the platform launch and to provide working capital.
