Jess leads Taylor Wessing's UK Pro Bono practice.
Jess works with a range of non-profit organisations and charities to develop, facilitate and deliver pro bono assistance, advice and representation. Her work focuses on securing access to justice in our communities, with a particular emphasis on projects that align with the firm's Responsible Business strategy: Inclusion | Supporting the Arts | Environmental Sustainability.
Before her pro bono role, Jess specialised in large-scale commercial litigation and arbitration. She advised on complex international disputes across a range of industry sectors. Her cases involved civil fraud, shareholder actions and joint venture disputes concerning interests located in a variety of jurisdictions including Asia (specifically, India and Central Asia), Eastern Europe and off-shore such as the BVI. She also had experience in high value professional negligence disputes involving members of the legal and accounting profession.
As a trainee solicitor, Jess worked on secondment to Mercedes Benz UK Ltd as well as HCA International, a leading private healthcare provider. She is a fluent French speaker and, prior to commencing her training in London, worked in the corporate team of the Paris-based law firm August Debouzy.
