Charlie is an associate in the Intellectual Property, Regulatory and Digital team, advising clients on contentious and non-contentious matters across intellectual property, technology, media, cross-border regulation and reputation management.
Charlie's experience centres on intellectual property disputes, particularly trade mark infringement, passing off claims and copyright matters, where he provides strategic advice from initial assessment through to resolution. He has a particular interest in intellectual property rights in the age of GenAI, specifically helping clients to navigate the complex intersection between protecting creative output and enabling effective AI deployment.
Beyond intellectual property, Charlie advises clients on AI implementation strategies, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance with emerging legislation and data protection matters. He also advises high net worth individuals on reputation management issues, including pre-publication advice, confidentiality and issues arising from family wealth structures.
Charlie focuses primarily on the technology, life sciences and media sectors. His practical understanding of client service was enhanced during a six-month secondment with a global retail and technology company.
