Geert specialises in complex, cross-border patent litigation in the fields of electronics, life sciences, and mechanics. He is known for his written and oral advocacy skills and his ability to translate complex legal and technical issues into clear, understandable terms. Geert has vast experience in litigating patent infringement and validity matters before the Dutch national courts and is currently a key member of the Taylor Wessing team handling cases before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
Beyond his expertise in patent law, Geert has a strong foundation in contractual and tort law, having managed patent licensing programs, anti-piracy and border seizure issues, and distribution law matters with competition law aspects. He is also experienced in arbitration, representing clients under the NAI and ICC rules.
