Associate
Faziel is an associate in the Intellectual Property practice group and specialises in IP litigation. He is also a UPC representative.
Faziel has broad experience in handling complex, cross-border patent litigation across a variety of technical sectors, including life sciences, medical devices, manufacturing, and electronics. He is recognised for his pragmatic, decisive, and dependable style, combined with a creative and client-focused approach. Faziel has acted in numerous patent infringement and validity proceedings before the Dutch national courts and has been actively involved in litigation before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) since its inception.
In addition to his patent litigation work, Faziel has a strong background in litigation and advising with respect to trademark, copyright, and design law. He also has experience in disputes involving domain names, trade names, and advertising law. He has represented clients before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP), and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
