Stuart is a partner in the Disputes and Investigations group. He advises clients on a broad range of commercial disputes and investigations including contractual disputes, fraud and asset recovery actions, shareholder disputes and post-M&A disputes.

He has particular expertise in professional negligence actions, acting for both claimants and defendants, including claims and investigations ininvolving accountants, auditors, tax advisers, solicitors, barristers, valuers, investment advisers and other professionals.  Many of the matters on which he advises involve investigations by regulators, including the FRC, ICAEW, PCAOB, DOJ, SEC, FCA and SFO. 

Stuart is praised by clients for his "calm and sage advice" and for being "rigorous, hard-working, with a depth of understanding of the field".
