Taylor Wessing advises the shareholders of BridgingIT on a majority sale to SPIE group

With a team led by Munich-based partners Dr Peter Hellich and Dr Daniel Schrembs, Taylor Wessing legally advised the shareholders of Mannheim-based BridgingIT GmbH on the sale of a majority of shares to French SPIE Group. 

According to the agreement, SPIE, the European market leader for multi-technical services in the energy and communications sectors, will acquire 75.1% of BridgingIT. The final closing of the transaction is expected to happen in Q/4 2023, subject to antitrust clearance. In the course of the transaction, the members of Bridging IT’s management team will remain shareholders and will continue to drive the company’s business.

BridgingIT is a consulting and services company for digital transformation. It offers a broad spectrum, from strategic consulting on digital business models and innovations to IT consulting and implementations, such as digital platforms and architectures, software engineering or analytics and data-driven solutions, to managed services. The company is headquartered in Mannheim and has around 700 employees at ten locations in Germany.
