Sophie is an associate in the Private Wealth Group, based in our London office. She advises on a broad range of private wealth matters, including tax, governance, asset structuring, estate and succession planning, wills, trusts and trust disputes.
Sophie acts for a wide variety of clients including high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices, family-owned businesses, trustees and financial institutions. Her practice has a particular focus on US/UK cross-border matters and Middle East-related work, where she regularly advises clients on complex international structuring and succession planning issues.
The majority of Sophie's work has an international element and involves navigating sophisticated cross-border considerations across multiple jurisdictions. She has developed particular expertise in addressing the unique challenges faced by internationally mobile families and businesses with connections to the US, UK and Middle East regions. Sophie regularly advises on the establishment, ongoing optimisation and day-to-day running of complex family structures, including multi-generational wealth planning and sophisticated trust arrangements for international families.
Sophie is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having completed the requisite examinations (with Distinction) to achieve full STEP accreditation. She is also an active member of the Bermuda Society.
