Alison is senior counsel – knowledge in our Private Wealth team. She has extensive experience of advising high net worth individuals and the international wealth management institutions that serve them on the full spectrum of non-contentious and contentious private client issues, including cross-border tax and wealth planning issues. She has a particular interest in planning for the smooth transfer of wealth to future generations, and issues related to transparency and privacy in connection with which she has been involved in advising governmental and regulatory bodies on beneficial owner registers and the cross-border exchange of information in tax matters and international tax agreements.
As well as fulfilling the team's know how and training needs, and monitoring legal and market developments, Alison writes articles, thought-leadership pieces and guides on technical legal issues for the team and clients, and often leads both in-house and external client training events. She also frequently engages with industry bodies and other third parties in connection with legislative changes.
