Nick is a New Zealand qualified senior associate in the Disputes and Investigations Group. Nick has experience in England in general commercial disputes in both the High Court and LCIA. Nick’s prior experience in New Zealand covered financial services, trust disputes, professional negligence, and white collar crime and fraud. During this time, Nick appeared in the District Court and High Court of New Zealand.
Acting for Kingdom of Belgium in an investor-state arbitration (ICSID) concerning the freezing and seizure of multi-billion dollars of funds of the Libyan Investment Authority, held at Euroclear.
A multinational transport company on the defence of a senior employee accused of paying bribes to public officials in Hungary to secure transport contracts.
A venture capital fund on the defence of a claim brought by the liquidators of one of the Fund's investments in relation to alleged breach of contract and economic torts including conspiracy.
An asset management fund on an arbitration of a contractual dispute between shareholders relating to the alleged use of confidential information.
