James is a senior counsel in the Employment, Pensions and Mobility Group.

James advises employers and senior executives on all aspects of UK employment law, including disputes management, transactional and advisory matters.

James' work regularly involves providing domestic and international clients with strategic advice in relation to the defence of complex workplace disputes and guiding clients on restructuring exercises, terminations, workplace investigations and the full spectrum of day-to-day employment law issues.

James also provides specialist employment advice within the context of domestic and international corporate and commercial transactions, with a particular focus in the Private Equity sector.

James trained with Taylor Wessing and qualified in 2013. He has also spent time on international secondment to Austria and Dubai.

Accor on investment into AGO Hotels

We have advised Accor on their investment into the innovative AGO Hotels platform, including branding arrangements. AGO has secured an initial nine hotels from the Travelodge CVA which will be branded as Ibis budget hotels with the platform open for further hotels to join into 2021. As well as participating in this innovative vehicle alongside AGO management and the landlords, Accor has also committed seed funding to assist with the platform launch and to provide working capital.
