Ilse is a senior attorney in the IP practice group and specialises in patent litigation. She is highly valued because of her outstanding analytical skills and out of the box reasoning.

Quickly comprehending any technology you throw at her, clients count on Ilse to come up with the most successful arguments and strategies, whether it is in court or while advising on a freedom to operate, IP transactions or IP (licensing and R&D) agreements.

Ilse has played a key role in multiple high profile pharma patent proceedings and has a wealth of experience in note-worthy cross-border litigation before the Dutch court. Her clients range from pharmaceutical companies to large manufacturers of electronic devices.
Next to her expertise in patent law, Ilse is also very proficient in trademark – and advertising law, having coordinated anti-counterfeit measures for global trademark proprietors well known in the fashion industry.
Finally, Ilse takes her dedication to her clients to the next level, by designing innovative and creative concepts to enhance the way law firms work. Because of this creativity, she has been named head of innovation and BD for Taylor Wessing BNL as of October 2020.
