Taylor Wessing proved in this year's Clean Energy League Tables that its Energy & Infrastructure team is one of the best in the international field: The energy law experts once again achieved an excellent fifth place in the number of Clean Energy M&A Deals category. This means that they are among the top 5 in the Clean Energy sector worldwide for the third year in a row.
Taylor Wessing recorded a remarkable increase in the number of transactions concluded in 2022: the energy law advice last year added up to 44 M&A deals, which is significantly higher than the 34 M&A deals of the previous year. With this increase, the firm also improves its position in the Clean Energy M&A Deal Value ranking, advancing from 20th place to its current 13th position.
The outstanding year 2022 for Taylor Wessing rounds off the results in the Clean Energy Project Finance Deals category: the Energy & Infrastructure team secured the successful financing of eight clean energy projects last year and thus ranks 16th in the international comparison.
"We have been consistently collecting top rankings in the Clean Energy League Tables for over five years now, but the current results certainly rank higher than any previous, given the dynamics in the jurisdictions and the challenges they present," said Hamburg partner and head of the International Energy Industry Group, Carsten Bartholl, classifying Taylor Wessing's performance this year. "We have always kept a very close eye on developments in the field of 'Clean Tech Energy' on markets worldwide and our international advisory practice is therefore rightly among the benchmarks on the global stage," Bartholl continues.
