Xuyang is a senior associate in Taylor Wessing's IP & Media group. She advises clients on the exploitation and enforcement of IP rights, including the IP implications of innovative product offerings, and IP infringement disputes. She also advises on IP transactions, including licensing, R&D collaboration, co-existence and media-related commercial agreements, and IP aspects of corporate transactions.
Xuyang has particular experience in advising technology and media companies, and she sits on the firm's UK TMC Core Steering Group. She also has particular interest and experience in the intersection between IP and competition law. Xuyang recently spent time on secondment to a global social media company, where she was responsible for advising on advertising, content creation, and other commercial agreements, and on the legal implications of prospective new ad monetisation strategies.
