Meet equaliTW – our active LGBT+ network
equaliTW provides peer support and networking opportunities, strategic advice on issues relevant to the LGBT+ community and champions inclusion across the firm. Our straight allies are an integral part of the network, enabling everyone to play a part in promoting LGBT+ equality.
Our approach to trans inclusion
We know that members of the transgender community face high levels of discrimination at work. That’s something we’re actively preventing here.
We've worked with specialists to publish a transitioning at work policy and offer guidance and support for anyone who wishes to transition.
I'm immensely proud to be the partner champion for LGBT+ inclusion at Taylor Wessing. As well as co-founding Freehold, we have developed a great internal network of LGBT+ staff and allies who all work hard to support our people and clients across our UK offices.
Promoting LGBT+ in the community
While inclusivity starts at home, we promote it in the wider world in our work with three brilliant organisations:
Freehold
We co-founded Freehold, an award-winning network for LGBT Property Professionals, which continues to go from strength to strength.
Opening Doors London
Opening Doors is a charity helping older LGBT+ Londoners. We've helped raise money, support community projects and their presence at Pride in London in 2018 and 2019.
Human Dignity Trust
As panel members of Human Dignity Trust, we offer support to local lawyers mounting legal challenges against the criminalisation of homosexuality in the 40 Commonwealth countries where it remains illegal.
Gender
We're actively building a balanced business where there's a level playing field for everyone, regardless of gender.
Wellbeing
From disability awareness to our mental health champions, we support everyone in feeling their best.
