Under the leadership of Hamburg partner Carsten Bartholl, the international law firm Taylor Wessing provided comprehensive legal advice to the asset manager CEE Group, which specialises in renewable energies, on the implementation of the financing and the conclusion of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Döllen solar park.
CEE Group implemented the financing for a PPA-based solar project in Döllen, Brandenburg, with DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG. The PPA partner is the globally active French ENGIE Group. The construction of what is currently one of Germany's largest open-space PV park is being accompanied by Goldbeck Solar, which is managing the project as a service provider for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). With around 280,000 modules (from the manufacturer Astronergy), the open-space park will have a peak output of 154.4-megawatt peak (MWp) when completed. The Döllen project is the CEE Group's largest single investment in a ground-mounted solar park to date. Once completed, the Döllen solar farm will supply around 160,000 megawatt hours of “green electricity” per year – equivalent to the consumption of a medium-sized small town with around 64,000 households. Construction of the PV project began in May 2022. Commissioning of this milestone project for sustainable energy generation is scheduled for the first half of 2023.
Under the leadership of Carsten Bartholl's team, Taylor Wessing already advised CEE Group on the acquisition of the solar park project and with regard to the EPC contract until the middle of last year (Link to press release of 30th May 2022).
