Under the leadership of Hamburg partner Carsten Bartholl, international law firm Taylor Wessing has again provided comprehensive legal advice to Hamburg-based asset manager CEE Group in the context of a renewable energy transaction. Apart from the acquisition of the project and the project rights, Taylor Wessing also advised on the complex construction agreements, various issues concerning the permitting and the zoning plan procedures as well as in connection with the sale of the electricity to be generated.
CEE Group is expanding its solar energy portfolio with a 154 megawatt peak flagship project in Brandenburg. The new solar park Döllen in the district of Prignitz will offer a peak capacity of 154 MWp after its completion and will thus supply around 150,000 megawatt hours of "green electricity" per year. The Döllen project is the CEE Group's largest single investment in a ground-mounted solar park to date. With this acquisition, the CEE Group's portfolio grows to a total of 38 photovoltaic plants and 44 onshore wind power plants. The Döllen solar park is expected to be commissioned in March/April 2023. The new solar park will be part of the portfolio of the special AIF (SICAV-RAIF) Renewable Fund 7 (CEE RF7). The acquisition of the project company already took place in December 2020.
In addition to Taylor Wessing as legal advisor and consulting firms 8.2 Obst & Ziehmann GmbH (Dietmar Obst, Lennart Behn, Karsten Kreissler) und 8.2 Arp & Kleiss GmbH (Dr. Gerhard Kleiss) as technical advisors, Pexapark AG, CH - Schlieren was involved as the commercial and strategic advisor regarding the marketing of electricity.
