We have advised German Encavis AG on its recent follow-up deal with Austria's largest regional energy provider Wien Energie, namely the divestment of the remaining 51% stake in the Austrian wind farms Pongratzer Kogel, Herrenstein as well as Zagersdorf.
Encavis AG had already sold 49% of the respective project companies in December 2020 and was also supported by Taylor Wessing at that time. The three wind farms generate a total of 36.2 megawatts.
Our Vienna team advising the seller was led by the partners Philip Hoflehner (Corporate) and Peter Solt (Energy). Wien Energie was advised by a team led by partner Marco Steiner and lawyer Christoph Lejsek from the law firm Eisenberger Herzog.
Encavis AG is a company listed on the German stock exchange and a producer of electricity from renewable energies. As one of the leading independent power producers, Encavis acquires and operates solar parks and (onshore) wind parks in ten European countries.
The closing of the transaction took place in December 2021.
