]init[ AG für digitale Kommunikation ("]init[") has gained the Dutch investment company Gilde Buy Out Partners ("Gilde") as a further minority shareholder. A Taylor Wessing team led by Berlin-based partner Norman Röchert advised the ]init[ founders around supervisory board chairman Dirk Stocksmeier as well as the management of ]init[ on all legal issues related to the transaction when Gilde joined the company.
With Gilde, ]init[ strengthens its shareholder base. To this end, funds advised by Gilde have agreed to purchase a minority stake. The funds, advised by EMERAM Capital Partners ("EMERAM"), will retain the same shareholding in ]init[ as Gilde after the agreed partial sale. ]init[ founder Dirk Stocksmeier and the management will remain shareholders of the Berlin-based digital company. Meanwhile, the legal support by Taylor Wessing does not come as a surprise: M&A expert Röchert already advised ]init[ and Dirk Stocksmeier on the entry of EMERAM in 2019.
With the expansion of the shareholder level, the growth course of ]init[ is to be further advanced, the international orientation strengthened and strategic opportunities exploited that open up with the new constellation.
The portfolio of ]init[ Aktiengesellschaft includes the development and implementation of digitization strategies, the creation and operation of websites and portals, consulting services in the areas of IT strategy/IT security and the operation of data centers, cloud and IT managed services. The company employs around 800 people at its headquarters in Berlin and at locations in Hamburg, Cologne, Mainz, Munich, Brussels and Delhi.
