Rubix Group has reached an agreement to acquire Lerbs Group, consisting of Lerbs AG, hw Hortmann + Wolf GmbH, Gassmann Industriebedarf GmbH and B.W.L. Handels GmbH. Taylor Wessing acted as lead counsel of Rubix in this transaction. With a turnover of more than 2.3 billion Euro generated with 8,000 employees from around 650 + locations across 23 countries, Rubix Group is Europe’s largest supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul products and services. Rubix was created from the merger of IPH with Brammer in 2017, following the acquisition of Brammer and IPH by Advent International. Lerbs Group with headquarters in Stuhr near Bremen, 12 locations and more than 300 employees in Germany was established 70 years ago, and is a supplier of occupational safety (PPE), fastening technology, non-ferrous metals, welding technology, factory equipment, tools and technical machine elements. In 2018, Lerbs generated sales of 90 million Euro. The parties agreed not to reveal the purchase price. Closing of the transaction remains subject to merger control approval.
