John is a senior associate in the Private Wealth group. He provides tax advice to HNW and UHNW individuals, families and trustees of family trusts.
He advises them on a variety of issues, including moving to the UK; the use of wealth preservation structures, such as offshore trusts, companies and foundations and on the UK anti-avoidance legislation which applies to the same.
He advises clients on the law of domicile and residency and how they can create tax efficient sources of clean capital to draw-down on after becoming UK resident and on the tax consequences associated with owning UK property.
He also provides advice on international pension schemes and other remuneration structures.
