Jakub is a partner in the corporate/M&A & capital markets team and focuses on working with financial institutions.
He has advised on many transactions concerning corporate restructuring of the largest Polish and international holdings. Jakub has expertise in M&A transactions, IPOs, trade in financial instruments and investment funds. A key area of his work is representing clients in the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and Polish Competition Authority, which often involve regulatory matters and mergers and acquisitions proceedings. Jakub holds a PhD in law. For several years, Jakub was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, as well as supporting teaching methods in the Department of Law at the Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw.

A Taylor Wessing team led by Frankfurt-based partners Lars-Gerrit Lüßmann and Ulrich Reers advised Hauck & Aufhäuser Investment Banking and Polish universal bank mBank in their role as exchange trustee and settlement agent on the voluntary public takeover/exchange offer by Frankfurt-listed Vita 34 AG, Leipzig, to the shareholders of Warsaw-listed stem cell bank Polski Bank Komórek Macierzystych S.A, Warsaw (PBKM). The transaction is the first cross-border exchange offer for a Polish listed company to date.
